Bike to Work Day: Mid-May (date tbd)
The Adams Morgan Bike to Work Day pit stop is one of the most popular in DC. More than 500 people visited the pit stop for their t-shirt, free goodies, and tune-ups from City Bikes. Check back for more details and registration information as the date nears.
Adams Morgan Day: Second Sunday in September
Organized by a group of neighborhood volunteers and supported by the Adams Morgan Partnership, Adams Morgan Day draws thousands of festival goers to the neighborhood on a Saturday in September.
Small Business Saturday: The Saturday after Thanksgiving
The Adams Morgan Partnership works with American Express and small businesses in the neighborhood to attract shoppers at the start of the holiday season.
Tours:
- Concierge Tours: Taking local concierge staff through Adams Morgan restaurants and shops is a relatively new effort that has been met with great success. Working with the Washington Area Concierge Association, BID staff take hotel concierges through several restaurants on each tour.
- Staff worked with Airbnb to host an Adams Morgan walking tour for Airbnb hosts in the neighborhood, encouraging them to provide information to their guests. Sixteen hosts attended the tour on Nov. 10 and received promotional materials about the neighborhood.
- The BID also works with a variety of other private enterprises who currently offer or plan on offering tours of the neighborhood.
